The outcome of the AFSD formally delivers the voice of the region to the global HLPF held annually in New York.
As the ASDR-2020 sounded the alarm that the region is not on track to achieving the SDGs. Progress has been futher slowed by the pandemic, therefore, the response needed should not only recognize the link between the economic, social and environmental dimensions but also, it should be aligned with the SDGs.
